We specialize in skill and emotional development for all ages, using sensory play as a medium to engage children. Benefits of Sensory Play
Emotional regulation
Sensory inputs, including tactile, vestibular, and proprioceptive stimuli, play a vital role in emotional regulation. It provides children with opportunities to identify unique tools that best facilitate achieving balance and eventually self-regulation.
Cognitive development
This encompasses skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, curiosity, creative and flexible thinking, while enhancing aspects like memory and focus.
Social Development
Key aspects include collaboration, turn-taking, patience, negotiation, social awareness, and adaptability.
Fine & gross motor skills
This area focuses on core strength, balance, motor planning, and the development of small muscle groups for steady movements in the hands. These skills are essential for daily tasks such as grasping, threading, aiming, buttoning, as well as bilateral coordination and hand-eye coordination.
Meet the Founder
As a parent and past educator, myself, I understand the desire to give children every opportunity to thrive. My journey began with a degree in Psychology and Human Resources, then moving abroad to teach English to primary schoolers, followed by a rewarding career in HR for a large corporate in South Africa.
Through leading programmes like talent development and Diversity and Inclusion, I gained insight into what truly prepares young people for success. Becoming a parent deepened my passion for human development and drove me to dust off and update my knowledge in cognitive neuroscience.
Today, through Sensory Magic, I partner with Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, and Montessori leaders to create fun, engaging, and impactful experiences that build confidence, emotional regulation, and essential skills to become resilient adults in the future. I invite you to join me in nurturing the next generation, equipping them to face challenges and thrive in an unpredictable future.
